Default Anyone have keyboard issues? - 01-08-2009, 09:03 PM

I'm getting very attached to my mini, everything works brilliantly, so much so that I've hardly used my MBP since! I have only one quibble - when typing my pointer will suddenly jump from the end of my sentence to the middle of the sentence. It's driving me nuts. The only way to fix this is to change the key repeat rate and delay until repeat in my keyboard settings to a mid-way setting. Even then the issue continues to occur occasionally..

Has anyone else experienced this and / or know of a fix. Will updating my firmware (A01) help? Cheers.

Mine does this. I assumed its because Im brushing the touchpad when typing.

You know what, it could be, but even if I'm really careful when typing it still sometimes happens.

Yeah I'm pretty convinced its due to touching the trackpad while you are typing. This is why everyone wants the "ignore accidental input" setting to work in the prefs (even though it won't with our hardware...).

The simple fix is to go into the trackpad pref pane and deselect clicking.
