The Dell Mini 1018 can run the 64 bit operating system. I think the 1012 can run 64 bit as well. The Atom CPUs N450 (1012) and N455 (1018) appear to be ok for 64 bit. The Mini 9 and 1010 can't. I solved the problem with the updates. I installed Service Pack 1 manually and then used the Windows Update to install the other updates. Again they wouldn't install. I searched the Microsoft site and found a hotfix KB947821 fixed the update problem. Dell XPS M1330 2.5ghz Western Dig 750GB hd. Dell Studio XPS 1645 I7 840QM CPU 8GB Ram. |
