I read a how to on a forum a few weeks ago about cracking open your laptop battery and replacing the cells inside with lith-ion rechargable batteries. It had a youtube video linked and seemed to work well. I will be attempting this mod in a few weeks on my daughters Inspiron that holds about 2 minutes on a full charge. You might want to look that up just for the info, knowledge is power.
