Default BIOS Update - 10-24-2008, 08:26 PM

So, I notice that Dell has a BIOS update for the Mini 9 available here

This updates the BIOS to A01, my BIOS is still at A00. There's no changelog, so I'm not sure what's new.

The installer for the update is Windows only. How are linux users, let alone us, supposed to update the BIOS? I suppose I could find a live Windows CD and try it from there, but I'm just wondering how others have treated this situation.

I updated to the new BIOS hoping it would solve my usb dvd drive issues I was having. But nope. It was a waste of time in my opinion and without a changelog explaining something significant I wouldn't worry about it.

Everything that is down can go up, but only some of what is up can go down.
