Like I said in the other thread on this topic, it's pretty much a Macbook Air without OSX. Wonderfully thin and light and pretty, with an eye-popping price. 2g RAM, 128g SSD, 1.2 ghz Core2 Duo, 1366x768 panel starts at $1999. That's more than 2x what my first car cost! They're offering fitted Tumi leather sleeves for $495, and "Premium Adamo support" that touts calls answered in under 2 minutes, but I didn't see a word about a guarantee of that. Unless there's a deal at the outlet or it flops at that price and they reprice it, I'll never have one.

looks like there might be a 9inch version Adamo on the way
no telling what the price will be though.

the 1.4ghz, 4gig model Adamo is going for $2,699...YIKES! you're basically paying for looks..because no way those specs are worth $2,699.
i wont be getting one anytime soon. 8-)

guess I'll be joining the breath holding crowd waiting for the price drop. I smile because their timing couldn't be better, but I've done all the economy stimulating I'm going to do.

Too bad they dont allow you to select no Premium services. might save a little of the total cost. Besides its just a basic mainboard with support for DDR3 but in dual channel .. not triple channel.

What your really paying for is the machined case , the HD capable display and possibly the AT&T air card thats also included but cannot be removed.

I did a quick config of the adamo and was given a price of a lil over $3,100 for the black one not including shipping. Completly not worth it in my opinion.

Dell had better drop their price or they wont sell very many of these.

Mini-9
STEC 8 gig SSD
RAM 2Gig 800Mhz.
WWAN parts in place
Fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Gigabyte b,g & n WiFi card that works
Sony DVD ROM/CD burner in slimline external case
Planned upgrades; 16 gig STEC SSD, Internal Bluetooth and Black Lid

WOW that's a lot of money. Even at half that price it's a lot of money. Looks like my M9 and M140 will stay in use.
