Default Install Windows XP SP3 from ISO using USB - 06-04-2011, 08:33 PM

Hi there. I need to get Windows XP SP3 put on my Mini 9. Currently OSX is on there. I do not have the Windows XP install disc but I do have the product code. I was able to download the ISO from the Microsoft download center. I'm not sure where to go from here. All the guides I see online show you how to create a bootable USB using the install disc, not an ISO.

Help?

try reading through this:

Burn ISO to USB Pen Drive

it should help ya

BTW: just make sure that after you create the bootable USB drive that you enable 'Legacy USB" in the BIOS then reboot

thanks for this but i'm going to just install from disc using an external cd. i worked on it for 5 hours with no luck using a number of different apps and forum threads. for some reason it just wouldn't work. maybe it had something to do with my jump drive.

shouldnt be an issue as long as its formatted and bootable (and you enable Legacy USB)

Either FAT32 or NTFS should work
