Default Bios Password Reset? - 05-20-2011, 02:21 PM

I got a hold of an old 2100 and would like to install Snow Leopard on it. The problem is that when I go to the Bios (A01) it will not allow me to setup the USB in the boot sequence as it is password protected. Any possible way to reset that password?

either call Dell IF you can prove that you are the registered owner or there are quite a few people on ebay that will sell you a password...many people on this forum have gone that route and it does work.....and its not very expensive either..

no, the people on ebay have a pgm that generates one, I believe it is based off of your service tag number...thats what Dell does also
