![]() Hi,
I've suffered a similar bricking problem when updating my new-to-me mini 1012. I've got the DOS (and Windows) BIOS downloads from dell, but each of them are an executable - how do I extract the BIOS.ROM file (so I can rename it to BIOS.WPH, and do the floppy/usb boot bios recovery)? Thanks, Rick |

![]() use another system to extract the files, when it goes to install, just point it at your flashdrive

![]() Hi all
First of all, sorry for my english, i leave in Paris, France I've read in forums here and around about this small laptop and i hope you may know some things to help me. Problem : My 1012 dont finish POST, whithout reason (i didn't try a bios update, for example) Now, at startup, blue progress bar under DELL logo stops at 75% approx. and nothing can be done. Keyboard inactive, every classical key combinations have been tried like F2 CTRL+F11, F8, F10, ESC, ... I've tried a lot of solutions described on different forums and in this thread especially, like DL and put new bios on usb bootable pendrive, and try to activate reading and flashing bios before POST, but nothing works. I've tried a lot of different key combinations and timings, but still nothing. Do you have some ideas to help me ? Thank you for reading Regards |
