I wouldn't hold my breath. Canonical has dropped support for the lpia architecture used by "Dellbuntu" 8.04.

Your best option is to install the current version of Ubuntu today using the excellent guides on this site. Or wait until April for 10.04 Lucid Lynx, the next long term release, which will be supported through April 2013.

I can't wait to try the 10.04 Ubuntu Netbook Remix...

I seriously doubt dell will provide an upgrade path for mini I highly recommend installing an x86 version of ubuntu. It has much better support from canonical and the community
