It's been a while, but, yeah, I believe that's what I did. Here's what the root of my USB looks like (in Windows):
Code:
Volume in drive H has no label.

Default How to add the persistent option in UNR 9.10 - 11-17-2009, 04:19 PM

Thanks cookiemonster for your previous help.
I am now trying to create a persistent live-cd using UNR 9.10.
From the .iso file I created a flash drive using unebootin and added casper-rw (2 gigs) to the drive. My problem is how to add the persistent option to the menu.
Your method (syslinux\text.cfg) does not work, in fact that file no longer exists. There is a isolinux\text.cfg and a syslinux.cfg which look like what was in your explanation, however changes to these seem to be ignored at boot time.
The menu that comes up when starting on the Acer is another menu giving only the options of starting the live cd or doing an OEM install.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have an easy answer to that, as I'm no longer using a live install anyway. There were quite a few core changes made in 9.10 vs 9.04.

Here's a page which described how to accomplish a persistent live install of 9.10. Perhaps that will work for you?
