Default Duo Deck doesn't Run iTunes - 05-27-2011, 08:48 PM

When I put the duo in the deck with itunes on full screen visualization, it works for a while and then stops. The music stops and the screen shows two slow white dots.

I spent 90 minutes on the phone with Del support for them to change my sound driver. No change

Driver is Conexant Smart Audio HD, versio 4.126.0.62, 9/21/2010.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Frank

Un-install iTunes and use Windows Media player.

Or...

Use WIndows media player to see if that stays on.

The good news is Windows Media Player does work.

The bad news is Windows Media Player does not have a column for Artist. It sorts by Album Artist or Artist if Album Artist is blank. My database is set up to use either one or the other, not both.

Thanks for your help.

How to make the Windows Media Player use the same artist as iTunes:

On the left pane (where it says Music, Videos, Pictures etc), expand Music. Then right-click on it and select Customize Navigation Pane. Untick Artist and tick Contributing Artist then click OK. Now right-click the column headings at the top and tick Contibuting Artist as well. This is the standard "Artist" column in iTunes, I was bugged by this at first but now my library works fine.

iTunes works fine for me in the dock. I don't use DuoStage, though, so I don't know if that's the issue.

try songbird or media monkey. Both have built in ipod support and are far more user friendly and customizable than itunes. My personal fav is media monkey, lots of good tools for big libraries like mine.
