Default Swapping HDs between two 10v (Hackintosh) - 03-29-2012, 08:58 PM

Hello all,

I have a bricked 10v with a viable Hard drive, and a 10v with an unrecognized Hard Drive. The bios is humped on the first (ostensibly "my" Mini), and the Had drive crashed on the second (my daughter's Mini). I would like to swap the good HD for the bad one (and scrap "my" Mini), but I'm unsure if it's feasible.

I did all the installs and updates myself, and it all went pretty well, but this is a bit above my pay grade, as it were. Is there any chance it would work as a straight swap? I assume not, but it never hurts to ask. Thanks in advance for your help.

Brian

If you're scrapping a 10v I could do with a screen, you have nothing to lose by trying the swop.
I was amazed once when I pulled a hard drive with XP on it out of a broken pc, put it in mine to use for a different OS and the thing booted, searched for new drivers and ran sweet!
