Default Appscale Default App - 05-08-2012, 07:54 AM

Is there a terminal command to make my default appscale app that I found from this site replace the "photobooth" pre-loaded text when the appscale app opens ? I have to type in the app. I want to scale down every time, so it would be great if it was loaded by default.

its actually a really simple apple script. you can make your own for whatever app it is you're using it for:

open applescript editor (Applications/Utilities/). Paste the following code into it.

do shell script "defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor .85"
tell application "Photo Booth" to activate
do shell script "defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 1.0"
replace Photo Booth with the name of your app. .85 sets it to 85%, but you can change that too.

(you can test it out by hitting the run button.)

give the script a name, save it as an application, and walla.

ps. this code will just adjust the scale and launch the app. it will not prompt you for anything, so make sure you set the % to what you like.
