Default USB Bluetooth Help - 11-07-2011, 10:12 PM

I have a Mini 1010 that did not come with Bluetooth. I later regretted my choice and bought a Bluetooth USB dongle. However, I have not be able to get it to work with anything.

I was provided OEM drivers with the dongle but even after the install, it doesn't show up in my devices.

I am thinking I just got a bum dongle and I am thinking about ordering another but I wanted to ask first if anyone got a USB dongle to work with a 1010 runing XP sp3 successfully.

This is just a guess, but Dell's "wireless switch" utility turns bluetooth on and off. Even the internal BT is USB so it may be that this is also controlling your dongle. See if you run the Wireless Switch app if it recognizes the BT.
