I have the same issue. But when resetting the BIOS back to its defaults it works for that session. I need to do this every time I cold boot.

Strange thing is that it says that the WWAN is switched off by the hardware switch that is normally on the side of the laptop, next to the keyboard. But the Mini 9 doesn't have this switch!

On the Mini 9, the "hardware switch" is controlled by the Dell wireless switch application.

It can be downgraded. I don't see a reason to generally mess with the bios by applying updates.

The Dell WSS application does NOT control the WWAN card (unfortunately). It does control the WLAN card and Bluetooth however.

Dell recommends to upgrade the BIOS.

Any idea how to downgrade to A05? Since there is no floppy.... Can it be done from a USB stick or so? Suggestions?

See http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell...s-utility.html for a USB key method. This has all the BIOS versions on it - choose "Legacy" until you find the one you want. Don't confuse the A90 with 910 version numbers, as they're one-off.

Yes thanks, I already found it out and rolled back to A05 + back to defaults. Unfortunately it still says the radio has been switched off by the switch... Maybe A06 adjusted something that is being left alone by A05.... so not restored by A05 too...? I'm afraid it needs Dell's attention.
