I have Dell 10v 1012. I'm not particularly versed in the internal dynamic of computer code. That said, just so I'm clear on this I should not attempt to install Snow Leopard on this machine the basic way, if at all.

Reading down there are quite a few issues still with OSX on the 1012, sound and graphics minimally. So I'd say if you're not particularly well versed the answer would be not at all.

mini 9 | 2GB RAM | 16GB STEC SDD | BIOS A06, USB Legacy OFF | No Bluetooth | OSX 10.6.7 | NBI 0.8.5pre w/ ALC268 | Broadcom2Airport

Want the ALC268 mini 9 sound fix? Get it here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2377323/Mini9SoundPatch.zip

Hi all,

I've recently bought a Mini 1012, upgraded ram to 2GB. And I would like to install OSX onto it..

I have not dealt with hackintosh before, is there any guides I can follow that would help me with it? I see it is possible (with some incompatibility) from posts before.

Thanks,

Pretz

Pretz

get the 0.8.4pre of NetbookInstaller/NetbookMaker from here: netbook-installer

With this Version I got 1024 x 600 resolution on my 1012.
"arch=i386" has to be added anyway, and still no Bluetooth.
But it runns great.

Cool. Thanks. Still waiting for mini to arrive...
Where should this row be added? At what stage?
Is everything else working properly? Is UI responsive?

I actually don't have access to a Mac, so do you know if there is any way I can patch the USB drive (with snow leopard on it) with this new 0.8.4pre Netbook Installer?
