Actually, there is one already configured, I think it's called MultiPB or something like that. The only thing I had to do was to uncheck the VBIOS option to be able to build the package without it complaining. Then, I went into device manager and updated the video driver forcing it to use the new build. Unfortunately, the 1010 is no longer in my possession, so I can't give any more exact steps than that.

Hi folks. I've been using any number of the IEGD drivers, and I'd have good luck with all except the brightness buttons. As some of you probably know, the generic drivers also wipe any software options for screen dimming (i.e., slider options disappear from power options, mobility center, etc).

Has anyone found any luck using these iegd drivers with their Mini's brightness control? I'd hate to go back to the Mini-specific drivers because Hulu simply won't run, on any setting. Neither will other flash video.

Thanks!

Default brightness problems - 06-22-2011, 05:59 PM

Installed EMGD 1.6 on Win7, much better than the original ones from dell site. However the screen is always dimmed down and with no way to adjust it ...

did any one found a way to patch it up ??

I know this is rather late in the day but I find that too and adjusting the screen seems to be useless in that it simple makes everything look unnatural.

The last 2 drivers aren't very good IMHO and I doubt very much if any new ones will be forthcoming now.

We are talking about graphics cards and drivers in this thread but your Flash should be kept up to date automatically. I have the latest available from Adobe.com on my 1010.

no way ex_Brit. the lastest versions are horrible. With older versions I can play HD videos on youtube really smooth. Thats why I need to know which is the lastest version working good on our mini, I think 10.1.something or beta something with h264 but Ive never found the correct last numbers.

Think Ive found it:

Thought I would give you guys a heads up that a new EMGD build is up, dated July 2011:

Intel« Embedded Design Center - Intel« Embedded Media and Graphics Driver (Intel« EMGD)

There is a new driver 8.14.181.2048
Located in C:\IEMGD\IEMGD_1_8\plugins\Pre_Packaged.Drivers_1. 8.1\WES7

Brightness is maxed out by default and cannot be adjusted but Aero is getting smoother and smoother. I hope they readying some more releases.

the only problem Ive found was watching yt videos with hardware acceleration. Sometimes chrome crashes because of something with flash.

everything else is really cool, with powerdvd I watched hd videos and some games runs very good (minecraft, max payne, deus ex...even gta vc)

OMG Im playing NFS U2

EDIT: new prloblem, hdmi audio does not work

I got an old IEGD driver some time ago which somebody generated and shared with all of us. I want to return the favor.

I have generated both the IEGD 10.4 and the EMGD 1.8.0 for my Intel GMA500 notebook machine. It solves the blank screen when resuming from hibernate, and it is working with an external VGA monitor too.

I located the links in my blog: estiloasertivo.blogspot.com/2011/08/iegd-104-and-emgd-180-for-gma500.html

I hope it's useful!
