Default Vista Installation Boot Disk Error - 12-27-2008, 05:29 PM

I have just purchased a Mini 9 with a 16 GB HD running XP. I just upgraded it to a 64 GB SSD and 2 GB of memory and all is working fine.
I am attaempting to install Vista Home Basic SP1 with a USB disk drive using a genuine Windows disc but part way through the installation I get a boot disk error which wont allow installation to continue?

Can anyone help me out with this one please?

Does your USB DVD drive allow for a separate power cable? If so, use it. Also, make sure the Mini is on AC power.
