It installed okay on my Mini 9. The only drivers I installed the 2nd time around were for the Chipset, Graphics, CapsLock Notify, Function Keys, Wireless Enable/Disable, Battery Meter, & SD card slot to get rid of the exclamation marks/unknown devices in the Device Manager.
I'm not sure the Chipset driver was necessary, as I forgot to look in Device Manager before I installed it. As well, I ended up installing some of the other things because I couldn't figure out what the Base System devices were, until I remembered the SD card slot.... (My slot seems to be malfunctioning on my Mini 9, so it really is not the first thing I think of at all.)
Even though programs, like the Battery Meter, etc., were gotten from another Mini that came with Windows 7, the programs still needed XP SP3 Compatibility settings. I don't know what that was about at the moment.
I did try installing programs with my 1st install. Firefox was okay & so was Opera.... MBAM also was successful. IE10 kept crashing on me & so did Firefox at one point when I attempted to use the Intel Driver Update Utility. One time, when I was fiddling with the Internet Options, I got this Jet Exception, where the error windows just kept on coming with different stop locations....
It was kind of funny when I went to install MSE & it wouldn't install because it was incompatible. Nonetheless, there's Windows Defender (right)?
Overall, though, it isn't so bad! Maybe I will continue looking around the Consumer Preview!
