i want to share some minor mods i made to my mini910:
1= thermal pads

2= different wifi antenna's (used one from the dell inspiron 610)
the wifi antenna's are a lot bigger so they should increase the range too.

Tell us more about the thermal pads. Where can one get appropriate pads?

i just brought them from ebay.

they cost around 2-4$ for a 10x10cm pad (you need to cut it yourself)

the minimum and maximum size should be 1-2mm

they work fine for what the mini does.

just cut the pads large enough so it fits over the entire chips (chipset)

the sizes that need to be cut are:
4x4cm
3x3cm
2.5x2.5cm

use a very sharp knife since a stump one does not work and will ruin the pad

as for the wifi antenna:
it looks like this one

i screwed it directly onto the display screws, for easy fitting.
there is no space left in the top window after using those antenna's
(cable is a bit to long though. might fix it later.)

WiFi antennas I have - I added a second one when I replaced the WiFi card with an Intel one.

only i noticed a weard issue, the battery charging LED does not lit, the power-plug LED does work.

the laptop works fine, the battery did not shorted anything

the only thing was that the powerbutton cable was torn from its initial PCB but this is solved now.

i had the battery of course removed when modding it.

but due the cable being torn from the powerbutton PCB
i had to try to jump-start it to see if it still worked
