Default Sound and mic working with AppleHDA - 11-18-2009, 07:01 PM

I got working sound and mic with the patched AppleHDA found here

Sound drivers collection - Project OS X Forums

make sure you get ALC268_3.kext.zip (I attached it here if you don't want to register)

To get the sound working after wake from sleep I used SleepWatcher configured as described in this thread (Method 1)

http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/gene...sleep-10v.html

Make sure you remove AppleAzalia.kext and PatchedAppleAzalia.kext or VoodooHDA if present.

Works like a charm on my Mini 9, no choppy audio after sleep
Attached Files
File Type: zip ALC268_3.kext.zip (604.5 KB, 1990 views)

1.Dropped above mentioned AppleHDA.kext in /Extra/Mini9ext/, ran UpdateExtra, restarted.
2.Installed SleepWatcher, configured as explained above.

It was trial and error, tried a lot of AppleHDA patched kexts for ALC268, but only this one worked.

Speakers and headphones work with this one.

Tried this method. Speakers and headphones working, no sound after sleep.

There's something in the Applescript in the rc.wakeup that keeps choking, and it looks to be specifically the "set pane id" line. Looks good, but won't take. Strange.

Other issue for me is that the unload is not happening due to dependencies.

Oh well, good enough for now. I'll get back to this later some time in the coming days.

I never was able to patch the audio driver myself.

I'll take a look at it and add it in (assuming it works well).
