Default Dell mini 9 random shut downs - 03-07-2013, 07:29 PM

My mini 9 has a 32GB Runcore, 2GB Corsair ram and 10.6.2. It has been running fine until recently. We'll be surfing the internet when it just shuts down. This happens wether it's plugged in or not and with a fully charged battery. It doesn't seem to do it if it's just sitting there on, you have to be typing/surfing.
Could this be a heat issue? I know there's no fan and it didn't use to do this but maybe some heat protection or something else has deteriorated so it heats up.

Seems like a hardware fault. I never encountered anything like this, only kernel panics and freezes where you have to force restart it.

Maybe try it with the battery out and plugged only to the adapter. Maybe its the battery.

Also consider a temperature monitoring software so you can see how hot it actually gets, mine maxs out at 60C. Considering that it is passively cooled dust build up should not be a problem.
