Hello ZeroKuhl,

your link for "Firmware Update Mod for Dell 5530" is not working more. I have downloaded the original file from DELL Dell_Wireless-5530-HSPA-Mini_A01_R212325.exe and extract then (D5530_R1D06.exe).
My ERICSSON F3507g WWAN adapter is Lenovo branding and have the hardware ID "USB\Vid_0bdb&Pid_1900&Rev_0000&Mi_05&Os_NT" in device manager.
When you run D5530_R1D06.exe it shows me the current status, but will not update the firmware (error: "The install package doesn't support the installed Mobile Broadband Module hardware version").

Current status bevor error:
FW Updater - CXP9013117_10-R1Z03
Model 3507g
Hardware Version KRD 131 14/202 R1G
Current Firmware Version R1A034
Current Firmware Build Date 208-05-17 06:58

Can you help to mod the dell firmware to accept the Lenovo branding to, or what should I do?

Ahoi

Hi guys, can someone offer some help please...? :-)
I have been given a Mini 1010 which I have installed a new HDD in.
I have installed Windows 7 32bit and am struggling to find a driver for an unknown device..
When I look in Dev Man and select ' view device by connection' it suggests it is linked to the ACPI tree after the PCI bus...
I think I have downloaded nearly all the available drivers from Dell with no success.
I usually hammer problems like this quite quickly but this one has me stumped!!
Any Ideas guys??

Would like to have it sorted by tomorrow to give to my dad to take in the caravan.

Thanks in advance for assistance. :-)

Several driver links in post #1 are now either dead or appear to have been hijacked.

Just dead - Dell redid its support site and lots of the old links no longer work. Start at Support | Dell US and navigate from there.

Question Webcam ?? - 08-14-2015, 11:24 PM

In Windows 10 my Dell Mini 1010 netbook's Device Manager is showing a built in webcam as "working properly" - this model doesn't have one am I right? (Despite the appearance of it at the top centre of the lid whwn open.)
It makes me wonder if it knows something I don't and all it's waiting for is the appropriate software.

I am pretty sure the 1010 does have a webcam.

The little window is there but I never saw it in Device Manager until now. There is nothing in Devices in Control Panel, but on further investigation I don't think there is one on my model. The drivers are still showing though on Dell's website, but not sure if there's some other software needed to activate it, if it is in fact there...!!
From earlier threads it appears the original Webcam software caused problems in any OS above XP.
