Replace it, there is only 1 slot for Ram in the Mini 9, 2gb Ram is max for mini 9, it will not see anything more than that. Super Talent is okay I've had both, in 16gb they seem to me to run about the same, check this forum, I believe you want to get the newer model, I believe you want the model # with the letter F in it, I forget what letter is in the older models. Be sure to double check my info on which is the newer model. You can run a stripped down version of XP on a 4gb, but it is really tight, too much of a pain. 8gb with XP is abit better but I would go with at least a 16gb, certainly a 16gb if it is Windows 7, depends what you want to keep on it, a 32gb is nice, then you have plenty of room. I don't see why any computer shop would not be able to install ssd and load windows for you, it is really simple to do if you have a usb optical drive.
