1st post memory related -

I could not find any discussions about the bottom side memory access plate that unscrews.
Do I access adding or replacing the OEM 1GB memory module on a Dell Mini 1012 via this bottom port? Or remove the keyboard? If via the bottom side, is it an "add" 1GB or totally replace with a 2GB? I don't know if there is an upgrade slot or not. I have seen U-Tube videos showing memory access on the bottom side, however I am unsure which memory module that is. Via the keyboard removal is beyond my pay grade thanks. Stock out of the box so far. |

The memory slot is under the keyboard, so the keyboard must be removed. It's quite easy though, and well worth it.

You must remove the 1gb or whatever is there and put in a 2gb chip, there is only 1 slot available....
Dell 1012 Service Manual PS. its only 3 screws on the bottom and the keyboard comes out pretty easily....read the service manual..  BTW: Welcome to the forum....  iPad 4 (64gb) w/Retina,Targus Versavu Case |
