This is just automating a way of copying lots of files to a second disk. I wonder how useful this is for Mini users in general, but it's no worse than copying them (and then deleting) manually. As for SSDs, if you fill up the deleted space with other files, you may find performance suffer if your SSD, BIOS and OS doesn't support TRIM.
