Mine only came with A02 on it and had A03 before osx. Just be careful with the USB installer because it does not give you any warnings it is restarting. it just restarts by itself. scared the crap out of me the first time

How do you check what version of the BIOS you have?

Press 2 for system setup at POST, you'll see the bios version listed on the first screen of the setup.

Computrace gives you the option for it to be on or off permanently. meaning once you make the choice, that is it. i set mine to disabled. but in OS X it really doesn't matter. Computrace can't install any software in OSX.

Remember, once you set it to on or off its a permanent choice so i would just not touch the setting until we really know whats going on... unless you didn't know that like me and chose to disable it and now can't change your mind

Why wouldn't you want to be able to recover your laptop more easily if it's stolen? I don't see the big deal about Computrace.

thats why i'm kind of sad that i disabled it without actually know how it works or how effective it is or is not.

that was a truly terrible "feature"
The flashing light is bad enough, but I know they won't get rid of that.
