Default Dell I910 Mini/Vostro A90 USB Key Drive flashBIOS Utility - 05-19-2009, 11:42 PM

Created a simple utility program that will format a DOS bootable USB Flash Drive that you can then boot from in order to flash up to the latest I910 Mini / Vostro A90 flashBIOS.

Successfully tested each BIOS included so I know it is working 100%.

Alternate download link: http://holmes4.net/flashBIOSv1.52.exe

NOTE:
Confirm USB BIOS Legacy Support is ENABLED in BIOS under Advanced settings to allow booting from USB flash drive!

How to reclaim full USB drive size following flash: http://mydellmini.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 891#p31794

Ellemenope has provided Step by Step instructions for creating the DOS bootable USB Flash here:http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/ubun...html#post12279

BTW: There is no hardware difference between Mini9 and Vostro A90 allowing Mini/A90 interchangeable BIOS!

CONFIRMED: Recovery from failed Windoze flash method!

NOTE: Requires USB Floppy drive for recovery: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... y%20Drives
To Use: Remove battery and power adapter. Confirm USB floppy drive is plugged in. While pressing and holding Fn & B keys, attach power adapter plug. The power lights will momentarily blink and your Mini will beep once. Continue to hold Fn & B and press the power button. Release the keys once floppy drive begins reading. Your Mini will beep continually until the flash is completed and reboots. Note: The display is not available during this process.

User fbyte offers a way to recover a corrupted BIOS that can be done without a USB floppy drive.
