[Ghift]

I opened up the guts of my mini for the first time earlier and the wire from the power button board became detached on the board end (where the two silver prongs are).

I'm not sure how to reattach them and as it stands I can't turn it on because of it! Is it a case of soldering it?

Any help would be great, thank you!

This wire has a small connector on the end that fits over the prongs. Did you pull the wire out of the connector?

It's just in two parts, the two prongs are still on the wire and the chip is fine - I'm just wondering what the best way to reattach the two together is.

Everything I've done thus far has been a temporary fix that pretty much works once before I have to gut the whole thing again to get back in and I need to know the appropriate permanent fix.

Not sure what you mean by "two parts". Soldering is probably a decent option if you can do it properly (meaning with a low-wattage iron and fine-gauge rosin-core solder)
