I still have mine running xp and the original 16 gig drive. I have had some boot issues in the past so I am looking to replace the ssd. I beat the crap out of my m101z back and forth to work.I am on my 3rd screen in the m101z. I am a preacher and writer so I like the idea of having a cheap backup that can use in a pinch so I will probably spring for a new ssd. Hackintosh? Never tried it though it is an interesting idea. Funny for basic writing, surfing, etc both the m101z and the mini are great machines at a good price point. Now we call them ultra books and charge through the nose!

Hey Steve.

It's just so quiet. I was trying to raise some posts.

Well, I finally gave over my casual browsing and carry-along tasks to the tablet I got as a gift last year. As my Mini 9 is now "officially" a spare, I think I'll use it to teach myself Arch. Wish me luck.

Hi! I just inherited my mini 9 from my daughter when she got a new laptop. Plan to load OSX on it just to see how it works. Any suggestions???

I still use mine on trips. It's been with me to Taiwan and my stepson recently took it on his European tour.

I got mine out the other day, puttered around with it for a little while, then packed it away knowing that I'll probably never use it again. I got it in Nov. 2008 & had a lot of fun with it but a rooted Nook Color has taken its place.
