Smile WOW on Mini 9 - 06-12-2010, 05:08 PM

Hi all,
Just to let you know that I have a 30 gig card on the side slot for cards and WOW installed there. Works well. I was traveling and so had a monitor for playing as the little screen is a bit much but it can be done. Hopeless in the big cities with lots of activity, very jerky. Outside of that, nice to waste time in an airport with WOW.

Machinarium

Almost. Which is to say that it runs and plays just fine but you can't see the game menu. Means you can't explicitly save the game and load those save spots but the game also auto-saves when you exit. Then when you come back you can start from where you exit.

Also, with OS X you can use the screen scaling option to get to the menu. Don't know a way to do that with Windows but the game plays just fine otherwise.

Playable demo available.
Im trying out the game now but I can not see anything in my inventory at the beginning where you need to give the bug the doll. The doll isnt in my inventory or at least I cant see it. Did you have this problem?

Sorry about the double reply but I thought that I would let it be known that I was able to get Grim Fandango working well on windows 7 with the patch from this site The DOD - Downloads - A Grim Fandango Fan Site

I was unable to get it to even start on xp but I was able to get it to run even with the original installer on windows 7 and after I installed the patch, I was able to get the sound running. Not sure if it is a big deal to anyone here but I tried for freaking ever to get it working on xp and I finally got it to work on windows 7 without any problem. I love this game.

Default Diablo 2 - 08-31-2010, 04:37 AM

I've been playing Diablo 2 on my Mini 9 (with 2gb ram). Installed the game to sd card, works fine. You can download installers from Blizzard if you register your cd-keys on the battle.net website, so you don't need the cds to install anymore. The game is officially patched to not need the discs as well. Looks great since the game's max resolution is 800x600.

One more thing: I had to set the Intel graphics to "Keep aspect ratio" in order to prevent the game from being stretched to fill the whole screen.

it's too long, you'd better cut it to 10 best games. Any way, it's really informative, we can have more reasons to kill time in the next year. Happy New Year!
