Ok. I will write a guide soon... Download this file made by me http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MC6RLXQC save it, right click and choose edit. In the notepad replace all written in uppercase with your exact info. Then save, open planned operations and choose to import it. I need someone who can test it before I will write a guide... It is for those who have a Z520 and Win7. Please PM me with result and problems.

Try eboostr new beta version 4.5. The speed 4 gig usb boost is pretty good for my dell min 10 with just the 1 gig on it.

overclocking inspiron mini 1010 -

i have a dell inspiron mini 1010 black 1gb of ram windows 7 starter intel atom z530@1.60ghz which i think is like yours chad so will the temp increase alot or the volts it uses? and how much can i overclock it i want to overclock to 1.8ghz is that possible for me?thx and which program should i use clockgen or setfsb or is there a better one?

guys keep in mind that these are MINI's and the processors can not take the same abuse as a FULL size laptop (Atom vs. Pentium)...maybe sometimes things are better off left alone...its your system
PS. why dont you just increase the RAM to 2gb....it worked wonders for my 1010 iPad 4 (64gb) w/Retina,Targus Versavu Case |

I tend to agree...while both of mine have been fine, one with 1GB and one with 2GB...they both run a very warm processor temp when doing anything significant. I wouldn't want mine to run higher than the 173 degrees that I have seen when playing video.
