Default Has Dell discontinued the matching USB DVD drive? - 03-31-2010, 10:59 AM

I went to Dell.com to order the USB DVD drive that matches the Mini 10 (and could be purchased as an extra when ordering the Mini 10) but it has disappeared from the site. Does anyone know if it was discontinued?

This is the drive I mean;

Dell products come and go from the web site depending on availability. I remember seeing a USB DVD drive that showed up as an accessory when configuring a Mini but you could not find it to buy it separately.

I'd recommend just buying an LG or Samsung drive from Newegg or the like.

The drive was always available to be purchased as an accessory on its own, it was just really hard to find on the site, it was $99 last time I saw it. They now have a similar looking drive that is eSATA.

If the USB drive is gone forever I wonder if the eSATA would work with a eSATA->USB adaptor?
