Thanks. It works for me in Windows 7

I assume it will work for XP and Vista too. By the way I haven't try it in outdoor

The signal reception for Dell 5530 is quite bad. I have to put it on my car dashboard in order to get at least 3 satellites signal. Any trees or tall buildings around will block the signal

What is the final solution with 5530 card for:

---------------------------
Failed turning GPS on
---------------------------
If LTO: LTO data is missing, connect to Internet to download LTO data.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

in Windows XP problem?

Hi, Hate to post in the Vista Forum when I'm running XP Home (virgin Dell SSD), but I'm experiencing a similar problem and I'm hoping you guys might have some insight.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers, but as soon as I finish uninstalling the drivers, and search for hardware, the system automatically installs the old drivers before I'm given a chance to pick which ones to install.

I installed the older version of the Dell/Ericsson Wireless manager in case that would help.
Pro: It seems to like the T-Mobile SIM from my phone (I was curious if it would see the EDGE network around here, but I don't have a data plan so I didn't try to go on-line).

Cons: I'm still getting the "If LTO: LTO data is missing, connect to internet to download LTO data" error message if I try to turn the GPS on via the GUI.

Do I need to have an activated AT&T SIM, and to log in to the internet to get this to work? (my AT&T SIM isn't active yet, I'm not sure I can justify the $60 a month they want for WWAN unless I'm traveling on work, and work haven't agreed yet ).

What IS the LTO file, and is it possible to download one (via WiFi?) without having WWAN on/Active?

Dell Mini 9 - Cherry Red. 2GB RAM, 64GB RunCore, BlueTooth, 10.6.7 (working on getting 10.6.8 'working' )
