Like the thread topic says, my battery meter under Vista only shows percent remaining and not the total time remaining. My MacBook Pro shows the total time remaining as well as percent. I googled this problem (since these forums were down for a couple of days D: ) and found a lot of HP users with the same problem. It seems to be an ACPI driver issue, but I have all of my drivers installed, and I can't figure out how to make it show up. Any ideas? D:

As best as I can tell, the Mini does not report current draw, so the battery meter can't compute time remaining.

Well that sucks. :/

I installed a little program called BatteryBar that resides in the taskbar and reports some additional battery information. It tells me the full lifetime of my battery is 4:27, but I don't suspect that that's accurate.

After thinking about this, I don't think I understand. The Mini apparently reports enough about the battery so that it gives a percent remaining. Couldn't it calculate the total time remaining based off of previous battery drains?

For example: Battery lasted 2 hours and depleted 50% of total capacity. Total battery life expected to be 4 hours. Every percent the battery loses is 2.4 minutes.

Or is Vista just not that smart? Well, obviously it's not since it doesn't do this...but it really bugs me.

I have been using the battery meter from this site since November:

I has worked pretty good at displaying time remaining and the percentage follows right on with what XP reports.
The program will work with Vista also.

now with bios A05 is easier to this programs to read the battery voltage and amperage and remain capacity
