Exclamation For those of you Who cant get your Wi-Fi Working!!! READ!!! - 08-14-2010, 06:27 PM

If you, like I was at first, are having issues with upgrading to vista on your mini, and you cant get the wifi to work, I found the solution. First of all visit this link Latest Broadcom 943xx Driver - LaptopVideo2Go Forums.

Once there, download the driver set from the topmost link, and save it to wherever you want. After saving, be sure to extract it, and remember where you extracted the folder to. (personally, I both saved and extracted to a USB flash drive for ease of use)

After you have done this, open up your control panel from start > control panel. On the left side, click Classic View, then in the main window, double click the Device Manager. HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART.

For most users, when you look at your "Network Adapters" in the device manager list, you will only see the Realtek Ethernet device, which is the device manager for ONLY YOUR WIRED INTERNET. Looking below this, you should see "Other Devices" . Because vista does not recognize the Wi-Fi card, your Wireless Card under the device manager will show as "Unknown Device" right click on this "Unknown Device" , and choose to update the driver software. The next window will ask if you want windows to search automatically or if you want to manually search. Choose the manual option.

On the next window, click browse, and navigate to the location you extracted your downloaded driver set to, highlight the folder you extracted it to, and click Ok/Next. It will show that windows first searches for the driver, then begins to install the driver. Let this process finish, and voila! You will now see at the bottom right on your TaskBar that a little icon representing Wireless Signal Bars shows up, and you can now click on the network icon, find your wireless network, and connect!

Hope this helps, I had a tad bit of a headache with this for a few, but following my steps will get everything working.
