I'm satisfied with the pre-loaded Vista Home on my mini-12. However, can anyone here help me speed things up, maybe tweaks...thanks in advance

Install XP.

The speed difference is night and day. I installed it on my mini 12 because I was considering selling it because of its poor performance.

Now that ive got xp SP3 on it, I am so happy I almost never get on my desktop except to rip a cd which I promptly copy to my mini!

i have a watered down vista home prem on my 9 and it runs smooth as hell

I used some of the following suggestions:

Vista Performance Tweaks
Even though it says not to disable/set to manual some services, I did so any way & feel happy with the results.

Hide Desktop Icon Text (Windows Vista) | Technize.com (with USB keyboard attached)
