(Dell Inspiron 910; running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS). The "Network symbol" on the top right has become empty (no arcs) suggesting no WiFi signals. When I click on it, a list of available networks does appear including my home network. Clicking on it, it asks for its Authentification key which I duly enter; it seems to search then gives up. Tried several times. It looks like maybe the 'internal wifi receiver' (modem??) has somehow disabled itself? But that's just a surmise as I'm not an expert. Can anyone help? I've been using this device every day for browsing & emails with no problem so am missing it a lot, Thanks in advance for any help/ suggestions. Robin

If a list of available networks appears, the WiFi adapter is working. My guess is that it's likely to be a software issue, but I have no experience diagnosing these on Linux.
