Default ran out of battery!!! cant charge!!!! im doomed!!!! help!!!!! - 06-18-2010, 04:05 PM

i checked the forums. theres no answer for my question. i know how to solve it but i dont know how to solve it with dead batteries

so my question is. how do you get the ac charger to charge again when my batteries ran out of power?

Er... you plug one end of the power adapter into the machine and the other end into the wall socket.

What am I missing?

i mean tht when i tryto charge it. it wont charge.......
btw i cnt boot it cuz it ran out of power and i cant charge it.
i dnt know what an OS is

Does anything happen when you plug in the power? Do either of the lights on front flash?

These batteries have an internal protection circuit that opens if drained too much. Normally the system will shut down before that happens.

no lights or sparks. it didnt drain power too much.

Let me try and explain..........................

If when you plug in the power supply and no little light comes on the front - and while plugged in and it will not boot. The you have a higher problem than just a flat battery, everyone here is assuming you have totally discharged your battery and the reason for not booting is purely due to the flat battery.

Hense the lack of response - If you can be more specific like.

1> when plugged in (regardless on if the battery is charged, charging or even in the unit) you should still be able to at least see the dell logo when pressing the power button.

2> When plugged in does the little white light even glow on the front with the battery in.

And an OS is called an operating system like XP, Linux or OSX.

Let me explain again. My laptop ran out of batteries or power. I tried charging it but it wont charge. How can i fix this. My OS is inspiron if tht is an OS. If not its probably linux
