Smile Broadcom HD crystal for the 2100 - 01-06-2010, 11:11 PM

Has anybody been able to add the Broadcom PCIe card to the Dell 2100? If so, instructions are welcome.

Would work the same as any other dell netbook with a similar configuration. You have to remove the network card from the only pci-e and use that slot. So its a toss up between wireless networking and HD video playback. You can always be wired network or use a dongle.

The 2100 is already too much. I'd think they'd make this a standard option.

Default Anyone tried the Broadcom Accelerator in a 2100? - 07-05-2010, 02:22 PM

Thinking about buying one for my day to day traveler and watching vids at home around the house. Is there a slot readily available, do they fit and play well in this system?

Won't work since the Lat2100 only supports a single half-height Mini-PCIe card (no WWAN for this model) and the Broadcom HD cards are full height...not sure if the Lat2110 now adds support for this either...

Documentation

FWIW: Looks like the new Lat 2110 does support full-size WWAN slot...
