I don't have the tablet with me at the moment, but when I get home, I'll check it. The tool as described is the correct one. Can you make sure that it shows up in Device Manager? Also, have you installed all of the appropriate drivers (for other devices)? Do you have any exclamation points in Device Manager?

Hello again,
Well I contacted Dell support, after some time on the phone, they uploaded the latest Web Cam software to their ftp and gave me details how to download a 45MB file
After that, I installed it, now I have this option in Program File-> Webcam
BUT - the camera software starts, I have an interface, when I try taking a shot, it does the shutter noise but no picture...

I checked in Devices as you suggested, all are there, none have any warning
So, it all seems OK, except...

Any other ideas?
Thanks again
Alex

Default Latitude ST - camera - 07-26-2012, 11:52 PM

Issue sorted by Dell support

Uninstalled the driver and the Web cam software and reinstalled it, not sure what was the reason, but that did the trick
I don't like problems resolved without an explanation, but I will have to live with that...

Thanks for your attempt to help
Alex

Dell gave me a link to a Webcam Central install but I get the message "Please plug in a supported device." when I load it. I have downloaded and installed the Dell Driver for the camera.

Any good tablet tweaking tips?

Thanks,
Zack
Hi Zack
I had the same problem and after a few phone calls to Dell support, they gave me a latest version, 45MB file and it worked, but first I had to uninstall the driver then reinstall it, then install that 45MB file.
It is too large for me to email it, but you should try contacting them

All the best
Alex

Hi everyone, i have annoying trouble with my latitude st. I have built-in GPS adapter in laptop. When i use Dell broadband manager and click *start GPS* he won't coonect for about 5 minutes and then he ask me to retry. Ofcourse i try to stay outdoors, but it doesn't work. I turn on this gps adapter in control panel and in atheros programm too. Maybe i need some specific software for win7?

Are you talking about Google Earth? I don't think that Google Maps will use your local location information.

Default Windows 8 Wireless Driver for Latitude ST - 02-14-2013, 03:33 AM

I have installed Windows 8 and it is not going well. First of all, the wifi does not work. Sometimes, I get it to connect for a maximum of five minutes and then the connection dies. I have not been able to get it to stabilize. The other problem is with playing videos. When I try to play a video from the SD card, it has glitches and the sound and video are out of sync. Recommendations? I can't find any useful information on the web, but maybe it is out there . . .
