Default 2 Mini 1012's, 2 Many Problems. - 04-06-2012, 03:09 PM

I have two Mini 1012's with NEAR identical specs. The Red One (White Base) has Bluetooth, Mobile Broadband (GSM only) and 2GB ram, The Jade (Black base)one is completely stock. Both have the HD display.

They are running at a crawl, both of them, the Red One is overheating when Running the newest version of Ubuntu, the Jade One takes forever to render web pages on Chrome.

Both are running Windows 7 Starter.

Any advise on making these babies Speedy? I need to know if I can go over the 2GB threshhold for ram.

Has anyone tried Windows 8 yet on them?

Well, Then how does Windows 8 run on it? Will it help make it a bit speedier?
