Default Dell Mini 9 Upgrades? - 07-15-2012, 04:38 PM

Yesterday I bought a Dell Mini 9 off of a guy for $70.. I guess it was a good deal I don't know but ... I am wondering if it would be a good idea to upgrade it to a 2GB Ram it only has 512mb as of right now... It also had a 16GB SSD and is Running Ubuntu 12.04 lts.. Is all Of this good or do i need to upgrade anything?

Do you know of any Free OS's i could install that are better or at least something that is not to expensive? I really want Windows so i can have access to more things and software that is only supported by Windows but they want like $120 for Windows 7 then I don't even know for sure how to install a new OS on to the Dell Mini.... Ubuntu is actually pretty good just No One makes Games, Software, etc. that is Supported by it...

well if you get a Dell winxp disk and an external dvd drive you could install winxp onto. using a dell disk it wont need to be activated. for win7 there isnt an updated bios from dell with slic 2.1 in it, so the best i think you could get would be windows vista, but i think xp is better than vista
