Also I am using Fedora 16 now, it is running quite well, and have an add-on in firefox that lets me scroll using the touchscreen like you might in an android phone. also know of a good google chrome add on that does this.

firefox: "grab and drag"
chrome: chromeTouch

Thanks, I got it going, the biggest problem was with screen rotation and I have the working now also. I tried Ubuntu 11.10 32 and 64, Fedora16 both 32 and 64 bit, openSuSE 12.1 32 and 64 bit. I settled on openSuSE 12.1 64bit. It is working well, I still have a couple of annoyances to work out but other wise all is well. I will check into the firefox extension and may try chrome again.

huh, is the 64 bit version faster? I didn't think it would be, since you normally should be looking at 64 bit if you have 4gb of ram or greater, but maybe it optimizes the cpu cores better.

Also I never bothered with screen rotation, but it's cool to hear that you got it working
