Default reassigning function keys on Mini running Ubuntu? - 11-30-2011, 01:48 PM

On my Mini running Ubuntu 11.10, I want to reassign some of the Ubuntu function key assignments so that I can use them in Emacs. F5 was easy; System Settings/Keyboard/Shortcuts/Screen Shots, then unassign the "take a screenshot" key. I can't find other function keys on the Shortcut menu, though. How do I reassign F3, which currently brings up Power Statistics, or F4, which lowers the brightness? Is there a central place to reconfigure all the function keys?

thanks,

Bob

You might need to change the function/media keys setting in the BIOS?
