Default SD and USB drive File Browser opens on return from suspend. - 03-03-2009, 01:17 AM

I have a mini 9 with ubuntu on it. I have a 16gb SDHC and an 8gb thumb drive that both work great. Only problem I have is that whenever I have the card or thumb drive in and suspend the laptop (close the lid), when I return to the laptop and un-suspend, a file browser opens pointing at the card or drive. This happens every time while the card or drive is plugged in. Is there anyway to stop the file browser from automatically opening every time I return from suspend?

Unfortunately, it sounds like your flash disks are being mounted when the Mini resumes. This is interpreted by nautilus (File Manager) as the flash disks have just been inserted; hence it opens a file browser window.

You can turn this off within nautilus (File Browser):
Edit -> Preferences
Click Media tab
Untick Browse media when inserted

I've tried this, but the SD card is still mounted on resume. This has been reported as a bug on Launchpad, but there is still no resolution.
