issue with mini 9 -

My mini 9 with win XP SP3 was going to checkdisc every boot,the system was freezing up and slow to respond.I reinstalled the SEO new install.I installed microsoft security essentials and went to some online forums,The system started freezing again,I rebooted and check disc was scheduled to run.I formated and installed again.The same thing is happening freezing,slow to respond and checkdisk is running every boot.What could be wrong?

Most likely the SSD is failing - especially if you have the original STEC drive, this is quite likely. It will probably fail to boot at all in the near future. You can replace the SSD - Kingspec models are still available. I'd be reluctant to shell out any money to repair a Mini 9 some six years down the road.
