![]() Every 6 - 10 boots the system will hang at the gray Apple screen; the spinning wheel never shows up. I have to force shutdown, then power it back up. It will then boot up normally.
Does anyone else have this issue? I'm running dm9, 2GB, 32GB runcore, dellefi 1.1, a04, 10.5.7... thanks! |

![]() yes that has been reported several times. I never see that and I am on 10.5.7 with the DellEFI1.2a5 bootloader installed.

![]() One machine experiences this occasional hang and the other machine never hangs. Only clear difference is that the machine that occasionally hangs has built-in BlueTooth; the one that never hangs has no BlueTooth. |

![]() I had that problem on my original (1.07) install but after upgrading to DELLEFI 1.1, the problem has disappeared completely.
The second mini9 that I built followed the same path with the same results. Both units are A05 BIOS, one with BT and the other without. FWIW White mini9, 802.11n, 2G RAM, 16G STEC HD, BIOS A05, Mac OS X 10.6.7 Red mini9, 802.11n, 2G RAM, 16G Runcore HD, BIOS A05, Mac OS X 10.6.7 |

![]() Strange... I never experienced this issue at all when 1.07 was installed. It ran perfectly fine for 2+ months of traveling. Ever since getting my new runcore (doing a clean install with 10.5.7 and dellefi 1.1) I've had the occasional hang... I'd love a fix. I'm tempted to jump up to 1.2a5 to see if that solves it.. I'm curious if the runcore could be the actual cause of the problem?

![]() I've had the same problem on my Mini 9, initially it happened on 4 out of 5 boots after doing the install then it settled down. Happened again shortly after installing Safari 4, so maybe something to do with software updates?
This also used to happen to my iMac C2D 2.0ghz 17" screen. It happened a few times and I couldn't resolve it, so left the machine on for a year 24/7. Hasn't happened in the last couple of months since I went back to occasional boots. Sorry for the rambling, but thought it might be relevant. James |
