Default Repairing permissions - 04-01-2010, 01:45 PM

There's a lot of threads in here that suggest repairing permissions as a fix to problems.

Thing is, repair permissions doesn't do anything worthwhile.

I agree in part with that article, but that said there have been a couple times where repair permissions did restore permissions on a file needed during boot and saved my bacon. What corrupted them I dont know.
