Default Glossary for Non Mac types - 10-02-2009, 01:15 PM

Hi all, I've decided to play around with this, looks fun. However, I keep seeing terms being used that I'm not familiar with, not having had Macs before. I've figured out some, but I was wondering if someone could post a quick list of acronyms and abbreviations related to installing OS X on a non Mac, and any other useful Mac terms. Thanks in advance!

I will move this thread to "General Mac OSX Discussion" since it seems to be more appropriate there. For some acronyms :

  1. OSX : Operating System "Ten"
  2. SL : Snow Leopard
  3. NBI : NetbookInstaller
  4. NBM : NetbookBootMaker
  5. NCD : NetbookCD
I think those are a good start...

 Mini 10v  | 2Gb RAM | 320 Gb HDD | Ubuntu 10.04 | OSX 10.6.3 | NBI .8.4RC1 | Chameleon Bullet Theme | BIOS A05 | USB Wake : OFF | USB Legacy : ON | No BlueTooth
